Hotel Atlantic Palace is located in the heart of the city, the building dating back to the XIIIth Century was used as a Monastery and still keeps some untouched testimonies of the historical period. It has matured elegantly over time while preserving its original structures and environments. Enhanced by a skilful restoration reviving the authentic Florentine atmospheres of its rooms, the establishment is one of the most fascinating 4 star hotels in Florence. Terracotta pavements, exposed wooden beams, lancet vaults, Romanesque columns, and a large Wedgwood vase dating to the late 19th century characterize historic environments of rare sophistication enhanced by all the modern services and amenities that a hotel in Florence of international acclaim should offer its guests. Breakfast is served in a new room with natural light overlooking a small, delightful internal garden, and consists of a rich selection of dishes in an American-style buffet while coffee, cappuccino and all hot beverages are conveniently served at the table. Guests will find the reception desk open 24 hours For guests who arrive by car, the discounted garage (with valet parking service) is located in front of the hotel.

Central and conveniently located near the Palazzo dei Congressi and Palazzo degli Affari, as well as a short walk from the Duomo, Santa Maria Novella, and San Lorenzo, the Hotel Atlantic Palace is also one of the easiest to reach of Florence's 4 star hotels from the Santa Maria Novella Train Station and from the shuttle terminal for the Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport (only five minutes on foot). Just a few steps from the hotel, 50 metres away in Via Faenza, you will find a masterpiece of the early Florentine Renaissance, the Cenacolo di Fuligno, a splendid fresco of the Last Supper by Perugino. Meanwhile, only five minutes away, the famous covered Market of Piazza San Lorenzo remains to this day one of the authentic corners of Florence. In this beautiful Art-Nouveau structure of iron and glass, among the colourful fruit and vegetable stands, guests will also find many typically Florentine and Tuscan products. A little further guests will find the Basilica di San Lorenzo, once the parish church of the Medici family. Its patrons embellished the building over the centuries, commissioning the greatest artists of the Florentine Renaissance, including Brunelleschi and Donatello. Michelangelo's Sacrestia Nuova (New Sacristy) holding the Chapel of the Princes is a powerful and poetic synthesis of architecture and sculpture. From there guests can walk down Via de' Martelli which ends on the splendid Piazza del Duomo with the Chiesa di Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto's Campanile, and the Baptistery of St. John. The guests can take a break in one of the historic cafés (such as Gilli or Paszkowski) in Piazza della Repubblica, then it's time to go shopping along Via de' Calzaiuoli and Via de' Tornabuoni, the chicest streets in Florence, with store windows and show rooms featuring famous Italian and international designers (Ferragamo, Gucci, Prada, Cartier, Dior, Cavalli, etc.).
